AUSTRALIAN dairy leaders say Trans-Pacific Partnership talks must focus on no exemptions after the US sector threatened to walk away from the deal. US dairy groups said they would withdraw support for the 12-nation TPP if it did not secure “commercially meaningful” market access in Japan and Canada.

Indian Solar Manufacturers Association has said that the imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty on imported equipment, mainly from China and Taiwan, will attract global investment in the solar gear manufacturing market in the country.

United States farming groups are urging that, if Japan continues to insist that it should keep import duties on its ultra-sensitive agricultural products – rice, wheat, beef and pork, dairy products, and sugar and starch – it should be excluded from Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations.

Two Korean steelmakers- Huyndai Steel and Dongkuk Stell Mill- have files an anti- dumping petition against Chinese producers of H- shaped stell, claiming they are exporting their products to Korea at a 20 percent discount to the price in China. 

China’s exports rose more than analysts estimated in May, helping to cushion the world’s second-biggest economy from a deeper slowdown as an unexpected slump in imports highlighted risks to growth. Overseas shipments gained 7 percent from a year earlier, the customs administration said yesterday in Beijing, exceeding the 6.7 percent median forecast in a Bloomberg News survey. Imports fell 1.6 percent, leaving a $35.92 billion trade surplus, the biggest in five years according to Bloomberg data.

The Commerce Department on Tuesday imposed steep duties on importers of Chinese solar panels made from certain components, asserting that the manufacturers had benefited from unfair subsidies. The duties will range from 18.56 to 35.21 percent, the department said.

(Reuters) - China is preparing to scrap controversial tariffs and quotas on the export of rare earth materials after a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel branded them discriminatory earlier this year, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters. China is responsible for more than 90 percent of global rare earth production, giving it a chokehold over the supply of 17 elements with a wide range of uses in high-tech sectors such as defence and renewable energy.

The European Commission came to a decision June 4 to apply anti-dumping duties on all U.S. ethanol coming to the European Union through Norway, according to ePURE, the European Renewable Ethanol Association.

(Reuters) - U.S. dairy farmers and milk processors on Wednesday threatened to oppose a Pacific trade deal if Japan and Canada do not agree to accept substantially more dairy imports. In a letter to the U.S. Trade Representative and Department of Agriculture, members of the National Milk Producers Federation and the U.S. Dairy Export Council said Japan and Canada were dragging their feet and U.S. negotiators must insist on "meaningful" dairy market access.

CANBERRA, June 5 (Xinhua) -- The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Trade in Goods and Services April data released on Thursday shows that Australian exports have increased 11 percent from last year with resources exports increasing 19 percent.
