BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced it will begin a review of the nation's imported polyvinyl chloride (PVC) policies as anti-dumping measures are due for renewal. The review comes at the request of domestic PVC companies and seeks to evaluate whether dumping or damages to the domestic industry will recur if the anti-dumping measures were terminated against PVC imports from the United States, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia as well as China's Taiwan, the MOC said in a statement Monday.

A joint summit between Canada and the European Union (EU) has marked the official conclusion of five years of talks towards a free trade deal which, when fully implemented, is expected to boost bilateral trade in goods and services by 23 percent. Negotiations were completed on September 26.

HANOI, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam on Saturday said the United States' imposition of anti-dumping taxes on imported shrimps from Vietnam is unfair. The imposition goes against the spirit of free trade and fine- developed economic relations, and is inconsistent with the comprehensive partnership between the two countries, Le Hai Binh, Vietnamese spokesperson of foreign ministry said on Saturday.
