On July 15, 2011, the Appellate Body (AB) of the World Trade Organization released a verdict in China's DS397 dispute related to the definite anit-dumping measures that the EC imposed on certain iron or steel fasteners imported from China. This report may force the EC to change anti-dumping investigations' regulations and procedures for not only China but also other non-market economies (NMEs).
Therefore, the result of this lawsuit is expected to have a major impact on EC anti-dumping investigations for products imported from countries which are not yet recognized as a market economy like Vietnam. .
