After 4 years of joining the WTO, Vietnam has made an important start in using the WTO Dispute Settlement Mechanism to protect the rights and interests of Vietnamese enterprises in international trade: February 2010, the Government of Vietnam sent a request for consultations to the US Government regarding anti-dumping measures for frozen warm water shrimp imported from Vietnam. On July 11, 2011, the Panel (WTO) issued and sent a dispute resolution report to related parties. The report supports most of the Vietnamese arguments made in consultations.
