The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a proposed trade deal. There is a concerted effort by the White House and corporate lobbyists to keep the deal a secret, and there has been a shocking and disappointing lack of press coverage.

This trade deal will offshore more American jobs, increase income inequality, raise medicine prices, threaten Internet freedom and undermine critical food, environmental and health safeguards. They want to activate Americans' anxieties about a rising Chine and then sell the as the counter to it.

Former Wall Street banker Stefan Selig was nominated by President Barack Obama for a senior Commerce job central to trade negotiations. Selig, who was a top executive at Bank of America, was paid a $9 million special bonus on top of his regular $5 million performance bonus. Is the $9 million bonus payment for him to write Bank of America's interests into the trade law?
