"Green gold" exports recorded double-digit growth

According to calculations from data from the General Department of Customs, in the first 5 months of 2024, exports of 2 main types of tea will grow positively. Of which, green tea leads with 23,5 thousand tons, worth 44,6 million USD, up 45,5% in volume and 43,4% in value over the same period in 2023; Next is black tea with 20,7 thousand tons, worth 26,6 million USD, up 15,6% in volume and 8,6% in value over the same period in 2023. Average export price of both Main tea categories all tend to decrease slightly.
In contrast, exports of tea with flowers decreased sharply in the first 5 months of 2024, reaching 741 tons, worth 1,5 million USD, down 31,3% in volume and down 31,4% in value; Oolong tea exports reached 319 tons, worth 1,1 million USD, down 22,6% in volume but up 8,7% in value. Regarding the average export price, the type of tea with flowers reached 1.985,9 USD/ton, down 0,1%; while the price of oolong tea reached 3.530,7 USD/ton, an increase of 40,4%...
