The Ukrainian side expects that the third meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish working group on public-private partnership will take place in the near future
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have recently discussed different aspects of the trade, economic and energy cooperation, partnership in the field of transport and defense-industrial complex, as well as the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in particular. The meeting took place during Shmygal's working visit to the Republic of Turkey on November 30, the government's press service reports.
"The Republic of Turkey is one of Ukraine's key trade partners. At the same time, we have great potential and opportunities to expand bilateral trade. It is not only about raw materials, but also about processed products and finished products," stated Shmygal.
According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister, one of the most important issues on the agenda of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Turkey is the completion of negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement.
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and Israel would start operating on January 1, 2021.
