On December 11, in Hanoi, the Conference introducing the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) took place.

The Conference was organized by the Embassy of Israel in Hanoi and the Economic and Trade Mission of Israel in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and supported by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

INTRODUCING THE VIETNAM-ISRAEL FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (VIFTA)

Venue: Movenpick Hotel, Hanoi.

During the Conference, the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) was officially introduced to ministries, relevant agencies, the business community, and import-export companies from Vietnam and Israel. Participants also shared an overview of the VIFTA, highlighting its provisions and the benefits it offers to businesses once it comes into effect.

As part of the Conference, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, and the Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup. The MoU focuses on transferring Israel’s advanced irrigation technology to farmers in 10 provinces across Vietnam. The project aims to build pilot models utilizing Israeli technology, with plans for nationwide expansion while also exploring supportive mechanisms and policies.
