Directive (EU) 2024/1760 on corporate sustainability due diligence

On June 13, 2024, the European Union (EU) officially adopted Directive (EU) 2024/1760 on corporate sustainability due diligence (CSDDD) and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and Regulation (EU) 2023/2859, marking a significant step forward in promoting sustainable development and strengthening corporate responsibility across global supply chains.
This Directive requires companies falling within its scope to identify, assess, prevent, mitigate, and remedy adverse impacts on human rights and the environment arising from their own operations, those of their subsidiaries, and their business partners throughout their chain of activities.
