Nowadays, Vietnam is joining many Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, which require mechanism of self-certification of origin. It would be better for Vietnamese enterprises to be able to certify and be responsible for the declared origins of goods themselves, because this would help them save time and costs for import-export activities.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership Negotiation (TPP) is a multilateral free trade agreement with high standards. Up to now, TPP has included 12 countries and experienced 19 rounds of negotiations. Vietnam is currently one of twelve countries negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). The negotiations are in the important stage with discussions on many groups which are controversial.

TPP negotiations which are in the end stage are slated to be basically concluded by the end of 2013. Meanwhile, Vietnamese enterprises have not thoroughly understood about, have not kept up with and prepared readily for this agreement.
